RESULTS: 41st Ed Tutwiler Four-Ball
PAWLEYS ISLAND, S.C. – Round one is finally in the books at the 41st Ed Tutwiler Four-Ball hosted by The Reserve Golf Club in Pawleys Island, SC. Mother Nature put a wrench into the scheduled three round tournament, as play on Monday was cancelled after lightning delays and then unplayable course conditions due to the severe weather moving through the area. The event was shortened to 36 holes.
The chilly temperatures on Tuesday couldn’t cool down Stephen Fox and Dean Channell (Pinehurst, NC) as they lead the way after a sparkling round of 8-under 64. The duo navigated the par 72 Greg Norman design in ham-and-egg fashion with Channell carding five birdies to Fox’s three.
Jack Kearney (Peachtree City, GA) and Pat Youngs (San Antonio, TX) are in second place after their round of 6-under 66 that featured seven birdies against one bogey. Doug Hanzel (Savannah, GA) and Buzz Fly (Memphis, TN) are in third place at 5-under par.
The final round gets underway tomorrow with tee times beginning at 8:30 a.m. off of #1 and #10.
