RESULTS: 2025 National Super Senior & John Kline Championships
COLUMBUS, Ohio. – The 2025 edition of the National Super Senior and John Kline Championships are underway at the pristine Columbus Country Club, which is a par 72 Donald Ross design. Players will enjoy sunny skies all week with temps starting in the low 50s, but working up to the high 70s to low 80s.
In the National Super Senior, Randal Lewis, of Alma, MI, leads the way after a solid round of two-under par 70. Lewis’ round featured four birdies and two bogeys. Lewis, the 2011 U.S. Mid-Amateur Champion, made three birdies on the back nine to get to three-under, but made a closing bogey on No. 18 (par 5, 542 yards). He leads by just one stroke over Todd Brown, of Winston Salem, NC, who posted his own red number with 71. A trio of players are one more stroke back at even par, including James Pearson, of Charlotte, NC, Dave Gaer, of Des Moines, IA, and Tom Senkowski, of Rochester Hills, MI.
Mark Weston, of Windermere, FL, and Evan Long, of Charlotte, NC each carded rounds of one-under par 71 to lead the John Kline Legend division. They lead a foursome of challengers sitting two strokes behind at one-over par, a group that includes Don Donatoni, of West Chester, PA, Edward Turner, of Richardson, TX, John Rodney, of Kettering, OH, and Jeffrey Knox, of Jupiter, FL.
In the Super Legend division, Pete Allen, of Southport, NC, fired a round of two-under par 70 that featured three birdies against a lone bogey. In a tie for second place at even par is Sam Robinson, of Jacksonville Beach, FL, and Gary Hardin, of Ft. Worth, TX. Jim Saivar, of San Diego, CA, and George Washburn, of Frederick, MD, are in a tie for fourth at one-over.
