RESULTS: 2025 National Super Senior & John Kline Championships
COLUMBUS, Ohio. – Day two is in the books at Columbus Country Club, where players were treated to another warm day of perfect fall weather. The competition is also heating up across the board.
In the National Super Senior, Randal Lewis, of Alma, MI, has added to his lead after a second round of one-over 73. Lewis now holds a four stroke lead over a pair of challengers at three-over par in Bryan Rodgers, of Knoxville, TN, and Stephen Maddalena, of Jackson, MI. After making the turn at two-over on Wednesday, Lewis steadied himself with a strong back nine of one-under. John Barbour, of Grand Rapids, MI, posted the low round of the day in the Super Senior division at even par 72.
We have a new leader the John Kline Legend division as Edward Turner, of Richardson, TX, turned in a fine round of two-under 70 in round two, which was the low round of the day, to post the 36-hole lead at one-under overall. Turner’s round featured four birdies and two bogeys, as he was one-under on each nine. Marc Fried, of Solon, OH, joined Turner in red numbers today with a one-under par 71 to tie Evan Long, of Charlotte, NC, for second place at one-over.
In the Super Legend division, Pete Allen, of Southport, NC, continues to lead after backing up his first round of two-under 70 with an even par effort on Wednesday. Allen got off to a slow start this morning, but finished strong with a two-under par inward nine. Sam Robinson, of Jacksonville Beach, FL, got into red numbers with a one-under 71 and now trails Allen by just one stroke going into the final round. Gary Hardin, of Ft. Worth, TX, sits in third place at two-over through 36 holes.
