John Derrick, Waco, Texas

INDIAN WELLS, Calif. – The Society of Seniors is back at Indian Wells Golf Resort for the 2024 Senior Masters being contested on the Players Course on April 9-11.  Perfect weather in the desert led to scoring opportunities aplenty.

John Derrick (Waco, TX) leads the Senior Division after posting a sparkling, bogey-free round of 6-under 66.  Derrick leads by four strokes over John Bearrie (Marana, AZ) and David Nocar (Millersville, MD) who fired matching rounds of 2-under 70.

Robb Pomerantz (Des Moines, IA) and Jeff Burda (Modesto, CA) each carded solid rounds of 3-under 69 to lead the Super Senior Division.  Michael Arter (Lakeville, MA) sits just one shot back after posting 2-under 70, while four others are one more shot back at 1-under.

Peter Van Ingen (Palm Beach, FL) leads the way in the Legend Division after posting the lone under par round of the day at 1-under 71.  Tom Yellin (New York, NY) is just one shot back after his round of even par.

In the Super Legend Division, Gerry Graham (Mesa, AZ) turned in the lone red figure at 1-under 71 and leads by two strokes.  Tied for second place after rounds of 73 are John French (Santa Monica, CA) and Gaylord Davis (Portland, OR).

Special thanks to Indian Wells Golf Resort for hosting the event, and to Callaway Golf for their sponsorship of the Society of Seniors.

Congratulations to our leaders on their fine play and good luck to all in round two.
