RESULTS: 44th Dale Morey Championship
SAVANNAH, Ga. – It was another ideal low country day at The Landings Golf & Athletic Club’s Deer Creek Course as two rounds are now in the books. The leaders have created a bit of separation heading into the final round on Wednesday. Jeff Frazier (Mechanicburg, PA) followed up his first round 69 with a second round 67 to lead the Senior division at 8-under par. His closest challenger is Ed Kerr (Windsor, CO) who sits at 4-under par through two rounds. In a tie for third place is the duo of Danny Nelson (Savannah, GA) and Lee Porter (Pinehurst, GA) at 3-under par. Nelson, also a Landings member, fired a 67 of his own on Tuesday, while Porter posted 68.
Another Landings member and Society stalwart, Doug Hanzel (Savannah, GA), made a move in round two by posting six birdies against one bogey for a 67 to follow his first round 69. He leads the Super Senior division at 9-under par, and inched ahead of first round leader, Allen Peake (Macon, GA), by one stroke. Peake followed up his first round 67 with a round of 69. In third place at 3-under for the tournament is Stevie Cannady (Pooler, GA).
The final round gets underway on Wednesday at 8:45 a.m. with a shotgun start.
