Pemberton, B.C. –Doug Hanzel started the day one behind the leaders on Friday and fought his way into a playoff at the Canadian Men’s Senior by finishing the 72 hole competition at 3 under par total of 285, tied with Iowa golf legend Gene Elliott. In the playoff, Hanzel came out victorious to complete the rare double-dip. Hanzel also won the Super Senior division by six strokes.

SOS Successful in Senior Porter Cup at Niagara Falls Country Club

2021 Senior Porter Cup Champion Steve Maddelena fell in a playoff to Pennsylvania’s Rick Stimmel in the Senior Division at the Senior Porter Cup. Defending champion Kevin VandenBerg finished in fourth place.

Congratulations to Jim Starnes on taking home the Super Senior Division by one stroke over three players, including Marcus Beck, who finished in a tie for runner-up.

Bob DeWitt won the Legend Division by two strokes over James Smith.

Rounding out the event in the Super Legend Division, Johnny Blank claimed runner-up honors behind Randy Reifers.
